Sure tens of thousands of dollars to change signage and whatnot are a drop in the bucket, but it seems absurd to waste money on something as irresponsible frivolous as naming something after some carpetbagger, especially if the Governor has been preaching financial responsibility.

How can you be responsible if you are going to waste money on foolish stuff like this?

Outsiders are part of the education of NYS Residents - that's why schools make room for "others" the world over. Sometimes they also call it a "brain drain" so we can get the best from everywhere to live, work and contribute to NYS.

Once again the governor is confused, he wasn't elected, and most likely won't be when the time comes for him to run in his first electoral process.

Why does the NY Statue University offer finaicial aid to non state residents? Shouldn't NY State tax money be used for NYS residents?

Weeks before his departure from office Spitzer, in his Upstate New York address, vowed to revive the economy through state aid for agriculture, industry, etc. Paterson aknowledged this and committed to backing Spitzers plan 100% moving forward.
How has this changed in light of the recent budget crisis, and what does Paterson have in mind for Upstate?

I have a grant with the empire state development corporation and am concerned with the governor's choice for chairman after reading in the paper that mr. wilmers is using his bank to conduct state business (using m&t personnel department to fill esdc positions). mr. wilmers is an active ceo of a major ny bank that i do not have an account with, how can the governor insure that m&t business customers will not recieve preferential treatment? also, how can i be sure that my competitors that have a relationship with m&t bank will not be privy to my business' confidential information, if m&t bank staff have access to esdc records?
