It's really quite a shame that not only are NY'ers taxes at such a ridiculous rate that we need to find ways to subsidize people and companies to stay, but that so much of that money just goes completely to waste. I had real hopes that under Bloomberg a lot of this would be cleaned up, but as usual the easy thing to do is tax and not cut spending. Also, the city council really seems to be a circus and almost irrelevant.
