the tunnels on clausland mt county park in west nyack. abandoned military training facility, half submerged concrete tunnels connecting firing ranges and ammo houses in wooded area. Some legend about the "Omega Men" satan worshippers, think they were bored highschool a.v. kids. lots of great spray. rumors about mob body dumping, suicides etc... try walking the tunnels at night with the crickets, the bats and the echo of your footsteps in the enclosed space, dark and dank, and very spooky. Been going since highschool, almost ten years now, never seen anything supernatural, but maybe once almost...great place...dont get caught.or go alone.

Also with respect to the Lake Ronkonkoma Legend, many of the bodies of the people that died in the lake, were not found in the lake but in the ocean, or in some other nearby body of water. I would guess that the legend was created by someone to deflect blame for individuals death. That someone probably lives in New Jersey now.

I have seen this guy in the mid town (bet 34 & 26, 8th to Bdwy) who doesn't talk but just makes bird calls. And he has this hat with feathers sticking out of it. When people see him, usually the guys at the newsstand they scream out "hey birdman" and he will cuc-kaw and wave his arms like wings.
