Who is this doctor trained in pediatrics and treating adults? He has a license, but did he finish pediatrics residency before doing preventive medicine, and did he ever get board certified? He treats women 18-40 and doesn't address their most significant need, gynecological care.

This doctor is trained in pediatrics and treating adults. He does not provide basic gynecological care, arguably the most important need in the age group he is treating. Did he even finish his pediatrics training before starting preventive medicine? Is he even board certified? It doesn't sound like you get much for all the money he charges.

Doctors not taking insurance -- i.e. accepting only cash as a fee for service -- is this an emerging model? I've recently heard of several Doctors in California and Missouri that have abandoned the insurance model due to the overhead costs required to manage insurance reimbursement activities, etc. Could this be another door through which to rid ourselves of the abysmal private health care insurance industry -- or at least force them to provide more value for the high premiums they charge?
