Season tickets generally used to by bought by serious fans or corporations, which used them as client or employee perks. Creating a legitimate secondary market will draw investors who are simply looking for a profit. Imagine the pressure to win to sustain this profitable market.

when paintings by famous painters are sold and resold at tremendous profits do the artists or their estates benefit? the problem of profits not getting back to the creators of the product is not unique to sporting events or concerts.

With what we pay to see ballgames these days, MLB is going to have to start testing the fans for drugs!

Now that my Mets are out of it, I can root for the Cubs. So I'm a glutton.
