A refreshing segment. If NYT sheds more Judith Millers and adds more Nora Ephrons, they could end up with newspaper that's fit to read.
Kind of ironic that Nora Ephron could identify Deep Throat, yet prefers to hide her own neck.
As one of my friends said to me about being middle-aged, "you no longer have to worry about dying young."
In concluding his conversation with Nora Ephron, Brian Lehrer characterized "opaqueness" and "opacity" as adjectives. Please note that both words are nouns!
katie couric scares me - maybe it is her makeup, but the whole persona they are trying to make for her, as equal to jennings/brokaw/rather, is freaky - she should be herself, she's can't pull it off as either of the 3 listed (even the dead one).
thanks - best show on wnyc -other faves, on point & the world
