In part two of our public housing series, Tino Hernandez, chair of the New York City Housing Authority explains New York City's public housing system as we continue our look at life in public housing developments.

Would have liked to hear Mr. Hernandez finish his conversation on the "3 housing developments about to roll out on the Westside" because the information is not easy to aquire...See my follow-up below.
Internet search of NYCHA's website draws a blank. So, I telephoned NYCHA and the telephone operator informed me, they "have no information about that". The operator could not connect me to Mr. Hernandez's office or his secretary because "they are not allowed do do that". She told me to call 311.
I did, and of course 311 "has no information about that".
Telephoned the Mayor's Office but there is no longer anyone who can come to the telephone and assist with query's from the citizenry.
O my!
Why do city housing projects provide parking?
Wouldn't it be better for the open space to be more park-like. Auto ownership is a big expense for people of modest means, isn't it?
