well our current prez talks to god personally....so weird is a pretty relative thing at this point.
not sure thinking you have a personal back and forth with the creator of the universe on foreign policy is stranger than thinking that this creator lives on one made up planet or a slightly less specific location....

Might people also be interested to know that Mitt Romney, when asked "What is your favorite book?", replied,
"Battlefield Earth" !!!!!
by L. Ron Hubbard, the science-fiction writer and Scientology founder.
That is just weird -- if not downright scary -- that someone running for POTUS and who professes to be a member of a 180-year old science fiction cult cites a work by the founder of a 60-year old sicence fiction cult. The wierdness factor is huge.

Might we too want to know that - Jesus visited the Americas after his death - God lives on planet Kolob - American Indians came from the Middle East - black skin color is a curse for "sin" - an so on...?
Many people -- secular, atheist, and believer alike -- might be interested in what people believe, esp. someone who will be carrying around the Nuclear Football (that black briefcase with the nuclear arming codes).

@World's Toughest Milkman - saw it - Russert let him get away with a lot of BS answers. Also, I want that reimbursement question asked. If he won't, he should be sued - period.

Please ask Andrea what the reaction has been to Rudy getting Judi a police escort before she was even a public figure. Also, has there been any talk here in NYC of getting him to reimburse for all that protection we paid for?? - signed, an angry taxpayer.
