The war on terror has stretched the American armed forces thinly across the world. Critics of George Bush assert that the level of readiness being held cannot be maintained without a reinstitution of the draft. Both President Bush and John Kerry have said that they are against a draft. Early in this summer the Bush Administration announced changes to ease the burden on the military and their families, but Kerry believes these changes are merely bandages on a hemorrhaging and that there is already a back door draft through the Pentagon’s stop loss measures.

Feedback- Draft

Our military is in need of manpower and the most
effective way to solve the problem is to require a draft. The fact
the the war was a mistake is an issue but we do need to solve the
manpower shortage. TJ
