While the major presidential candidates do their best to woo swing voters in crucial swing states, issues close to a blue state like New York can go under the radar. We’ll look at which candidate will be best for our own city and State. Also, the BL show decides to stick with opinion polls, James Traub on New York museums, Fred Kaplan on surprising new statements by Rumsfeld and Bremer, and your calls on debate parties.

Iraq is better off only if Iraq achieves democracy, which has not happened. Looking at America's history at occupying countries, one would find far more incidents of the US backing dictators, such as Hussein, than converting them to democracies.
