United for Peace and Justice is one of the most famous groups planning to demonstrate during the Republican National Convention. But there are many more, like the National Council of Arab Americans, which was recently denied a permit to protest on Central Park’s Great Lawn what it believes were civil rights abuses in the wake of September 11th.
