Hey,
I'm Lamecca. I'm 17 years old. I like to go to school and I also like
to sleep, eat and go to my cousin's house right next door from me. I
like shopping and doing hair. I would like to finish school (that's
my main goal) and I need a job.

fact: Sometimes I light a candle next to my bed when I'm about to
go to sleep. I pray, then blow it out.
Mentor:
Lamecca's mentor is Rachel Dornhelm. Rachel works with the WNYC program
"The Next Big Thing" and with "The Speakeasy," an
arts and culture program on WFMU. Until recently she was teaching writing
and media students at a youth center in Uzbekistan, part of fieldwork
for a graduate degree in anthropology.
