I'm 15 years old and I'm a freshman at Bronx Science High School. I like to read books, go online and watch TV even though I'm not allowed to. I just won an essay contest and I will be leaving on an all-expenses paid trip to Korea in August.
July 2001

Interesting fact: I'm named after the book, Heidi.

Story Description: In-your-face Parents
Heidi Choe's parents pay attention to her -- A LOT of attention. She thinks in-your-face parenting can be overdone.

Mentor: Heidi's mentor is Duy Linh Tu. Duy is a Co-Founder and the Chief Information Officer of Missing Pixel, a media production company dedicated to using technology to create and distribute intelligent and important content. Duy received his M.S. with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where he also won a Pulitzer Travelling Fellowship for excellence in Arts and Cultural reporting. He has worked at ABC News in London and his writing has appeared is various publications. Duy also plays guitar and hopes to be a rock star when he grows up.
