Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara Hosts “Stay Tuned With Preet” in Which He Explores the Concepts of Justice and Fairness With an Eye on the Latest News and Most Pressing Issues of our Time

[New York, NY - August 7, 2017] - CAFE (www.CAFE.com), the newest entertainment brand from Some Spider Studios (www.somespider.com) is partnering with WNYC Studios, the second largest podcast producer in the country, and acclaimed producer Pineapple Street Media, to launch “Stay Tuned With Preet.”

Preet Bharara, who fought corruption, financial fraud and violent crime during his tenure as a U.S. Attorney, will host this weekly podcast focusing on issues of justice and fairness.

Drawing on his experience and principles, Bharara will offer commentary on our judicial, political and cultural systems. Guests from across the vocational and political spectrum will provide insights to accompany Preet’s expertise gained from being a prosecutor and Senate Committee counsel.

Bharara, who spent more than seven years as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York and was considered by many the most powerful prosecutor in the country, joined his brother Vinit’s media company Some Spider Studios last month as an advisor, stakeholder and content producer.

WNYC Studios will present “Stay Tuned With Preet” as part of its robust and influential portfolio, which includes critically acclaimed productions such as “Radiolab,” “Freakonomics Radio,” “More Perfect,” “Here’s the Thing” with Alec Baldwin, and “2 Dope Queens.”  In the past year alone, six new podcasts from WNYC Studios landed in the Apple Podcasts Top 10, and four landed in the Top 5.

Producing partner Pineapple Street Media is also the acclaimed producer of podcasts “Missing Richard Simmons,” Hillary Clinton’s “With Her” and Lena Dunham's “Women of the Hour,” all of which hit #1 in Apple Podcasts.

We’re thrilled to join forces with WNYC Studios and Pineapple Street Media, two of the very best in the podcast business,” said Vinit Bharara, Founder and CEO of Some Spider Studios. “I’m really looking forward to Preet launching his podcast and sharing with the world his unique insights about justice and fairness — especially at a time when those two issues are at stake.”

“WNYC Studios is honored to add Preet Bharara’s compelling and timely podcast to our lineup,” said Laura Walker, President and CEO of New York Public Radio, which includes WNYC Studios. “We have built our portfolio around distinct personalities, and ‘Stay Tuned With Preet’ promises to bring podcast audiences and people interested in our political and legal culture something new, relevant and utterly engaging.”

“We are truly excited to be producing the show and can’t wait for people to hear what Preet has to say, especially during this moment in America,” said Max Linsky, co-founder of Pineapple Street Media.
