(New York, NY – October 26, 2011) - On Tuesday, November 1, WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show will convene a panel of political analysts to go beyond the day-to-day happenings at Zuccotti Park to discuss the larger issues raised by the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The show will take place from 10am - noon in front of a live audience at The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, air live on WNYC 93.9 FM and AM 820, and be available as a live video webcast at www.thegreenespace.org.

From 10-11am, former New York State Governor ELIOT SPITZER, Crain’s New York Business contributor GREG DAVID, and JESSE LAGRECA of #occupywallstreet and the Daily Kos will join Lehrer to discuss topics including trends in income inequality, regulation of the banking industry, current unemployment rates, and the contributions made by investment banking to the economic life of New York City and the nation, among others. Additional guests will be announced.

From 11am-noon, the show will host the non-partisan Campaign Finance Board’s Voter Assistance Advisory Committee’s brainstorm session on how to turn around the city's low voter turnout. Panelists will include representatives from get-the-vote-out groups and political strategists. Audience members, listeners, tweeters and Facebook fans will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
