Rachel works with the WNYC program "The Next Big Thing" and with "The Speakeasy," an arts and culture program on WFMU. Until recently she was teaching writing and media students at a youth center in Uzbekistan, part of fieldwork for a graduate degree in anthropology. (October 2001)
