Photographer Robert McCabe describes going on an expedition to the South Pole in 1959, when he was a 24-year-old photojournalist on assignment. DeepFreeze! A Photographer's Antarctic Odyssey in the Year 1959 includes a narrative of his journey and 87 of his black-and-white photographs, including the Antarctic landscape, aerial shots, young adventurers, and the wildlife.
