MAX CASELLA played “Benny Fazio” for five seasons of HBO’s THE SOPRANOS, and “Leo D”Alessio” in BOARDWALK EMPIRE. Upcoming films: KILLING THEM SOFTLY with Brad Pitt, directed by Andrew Dominik; INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS by the Coen Bros.; WOODY ALLEN SUMMER PROJECT 2012. Recent theater: THE ATMOSPHERE OF MEMORY opposite Ellen Burstyn for LAByrinth Theater Co.; Shakespeare’s TIMON OF ATHENS with Richard Thomas at the NY Public Theater; Played "Clov" to John Turturro's "Hamm" in Beckett's ENDGAME at BAM. In 2010, Max and Mr. Turturro co-adapted FIABE ITALIANE by Italo Calvino which toured Italy. He played “Timon” in the original cast of the Tony award-winning musical THE LION KING. Received a Theatre World award for Outstanding Broadway Debut and a Drama Desk nomination. Max first became widely known in his role as "Vinnie" on the hit series DOOGIE HOWSER, M.D. Member of the LAByrinth Theater Company.
