Written by war correspondents Martha Gellhorn and Virginia Cowles, the play paints a portrait of two smart, funny, brave, ambitious and complex women working just miles from the front lines, surrounded by less competent, less adventurous men. It’s based on the writers’ own experiences. “Love Goes to Press” is playing through July 29 at the Mint Theater.

"Temporal Powers"

Jonathan Bank, director of "Temporal Powers," and actors Rosie Benton and Aidan Redmond talk about the play. Written by Theresa Deevy and set in Ireland in the 1920s, it tells the story of Michael and Min, a broke and homeless couple who, after taking shelter in a crumbling ruin, discover hidden treasure. Min sees a chance to start a new life; Michael fears it's stolen and wants to give it to the priest. "Temporal Powers" is playing at the Mint Theater through October 9.

Jonathan Bank, artistic director of the Mint Theater and director of "Wife to James Whelan," and Janie Brookshire, who stars as 'Nan', talk about the play. It's the first of two plays by Theresa Deevy and produced by the Mint, being shown in the next two years. The plays are part of the "Teresa Deevy Project," which will also include readings, recordings and publications. Set in a small town in the middle of Ireland, the play tells the story of star-crossed lovers. “Wife to James Whelan” is playing at the Mint Theater through October 3.
