Elvis Costello performed live in The Greene Space in November with his six-piece band, the Sugarcanes and Pete Thomas, and we're airing that performance again. He spoke with Leonard about his musical influences, and played songs from his latest album, National Ransom, which includes rock, bluegrass, and country, and was produced by T Bone Burnett. The band includes: Jerry Douglas (dobro/lap steel), Stuart Duncan (violin), Mike Compton (mandolin), Pete Thomas (drums), Jim Lauderdale (guitar, vocals), Jeff Taylor (accordion), Dennis Crouch (double bass).
