Chris Nowinksi is founder and president of the Sports Legacy Institute, a non-profit focused on studying the long term effects of brain injury. Nowinski is also a co-director of Boston University's Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy. As a former WWE pro-wrestler, Nowinski suffered head trauma including memory loss and headaches after being kicked in the skull.
