He joined New York Public Radio in 2009 to assist with the launch of WQXR at 105.9FM. He is currently the station’s Program Director, responsible for broadcast strategy and execution.

Prior to joining WQXR, Shobe worked in music programming at Sirius/XM Satellite Radio and held positions at L'Oreal and Epic Records.

Born in San Francisco, Shobe holds degrees in music business & management and music performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston. His work as a musician has taken him across the US, Europe, South America, and Japan.
