Louis Aublant

Louis Aublant was a politician and military doctor, best known for heading France's Institut Pasteur after World War II.

Louis Aublant (March 3, 1890—April 4, 1981) was born in Draguignan, France. In 1925 he published a report on brucellosis and in 1939 a report on the fight against mosquitoes. He was the health minister in the Vichy government from 1941 to 1943 and in 1946 became Secretary General of the Institut Pasteur, a position he would hold until 1966.In 1956 he became a member of the Frnach National Academy of Medicine.
