More than two million American homes are in foreclosure. The Treasury Department was given $46 billion to keep homeowners in their houses in 2009. However, the agency has spent less than $2 billion of that money.

Five soldiers have been killed in central Iraq. Jack Healy, reporter for The New York Times is in Baghdad. He says that the attacks occurred on a U.S. military base in southeast Baghdad, but that details are still unclear.
