Helen Peng

Hi my name is Helen. I’m a senior at the East–West School of International Studies. I like playing the piano, going to karaoke, and just sitting back and relaxing in my spare time. I was born in Manhattan, but raised in Flushing, NY. Throughout my years in elementary and middle school, I attended schools far from my house; but for high school I decided to stay nearby.

Flushing is really an odd place. There are so many good places to go eat, yet after walking around for a few minutes you wonder where to go next.

When it was my first day returning to College Now class, I was so ready for it and everything. But when my friends and I got there, the lecture hall was empty and I was wondering where everyone was. I clearly remembered that my class was on a Monday. I pulled out my schedule and saw that it said Thursday. I blanked out and started to laugh at myself, while my friends stood next to me and stared.
