Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Editor Charlotte Mosley and Deborah, the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire, youngest of the six legendary Mitford sisters, talks about her life and her eccentric family. Wait for Me!  chronicles her remarkable life, from her childhood to tea with Adolf Hitler and her controversially political sister Unity in 1937, to her marriage, to the second son of the Duke of Devonshire. She also discusses her friendship and a lifelong correspondence with writer and war hero Patrick Leigh Fermor, which she collected in her book In Tearing Haste: Letters between Deborah Devonshire and Patrick Leigh Fermor.
