Canadian Brass

Just in time for the holiday season, the Canadian Brass stopped by The Greene Space for an exclusive New York performance from their new CD, Christmas Time Is Here.   

Over the past 40 years, the Canadian Brass have taken the sounds of everything from Dixieland jazz to Baroque classics to concert halls, TV shows, and Canadian government functions. Other musicians may brag about their gold records, but these guys play gold-plated instruments. We’ll be scouring the floor for stray bits after they play live for us in the studio.

Playing everything from Bach to the blues, the Canadian Brass is the world’s best known brass quintet. Founded in 1970, the group has commissioned, performed, and recorded hundreds of transcriptions and original works, and recorded over 80 CDs and DVDs.
