Hi! I'm Alexis and I am 17, soon to be 18 in March. I go to the East-West High School of International Studies in Flushing, Queens. I love to eat food from around the world and am willing to try any new flavor (as long as I am not allergic to it). One of my goals in the future is to travel the world and experience every culture through food.
I live in Springfield Gardens, NY. Some of the major parts are filled with apartment buildings and businesses; but where I live it is not very populated and has small houses, trees and dogs.
I am very clumsy. Many of my friends wonder how I managed to live so long. I am always tripping over things, walking into stuff and dropping things.
My recorder, Lint, likes to take long naps and play with puzzle games. Lint is friends with Elf (Hawa’s recorder).

Radio Rookie Alexis Gordon's dad has been in the Army Reserves since before she was born. He served a tour in Iraq when she was in the 5th grade and was recently deployed again to the war in Afghanistan. 18-year-old Alexis is struggling to understand her dad's decision to stay in the Army and go back to the Middle East.
