Group Requests Congressional Probe of Fossella
by Isaac Davy-Aronson
NEW YORK, NY May 19, 2008 —A watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, wants a Congressional ethics committee to investigate whether Staten Island Congressman Vito Fossella used government resources to have an extramarital affair.
Fossella took official trips in 2002 and 2003 with Laura Fay, who was, at the time, an Air Force officer and a military liaison to Congress.
Fossella has yet to say whether he will seek re-election this fall.
