NEW YORK, NY May 14, 2008 —Dozens of college professors from around the world will gather at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus to analyze the HBO mob drama "The Sopranos."
Starting May 22nd, "The Sopranos: A Wake," is a symposium created as a way to define the show's position in popular culture.
Fordham Communications and Media Studies department chairman Paul Levinson says, "'The Sopranos' is one of the most significant TV series ever produced and is worth studying."
There will be sessions on gender, parenthood, ethnicity and cuisine - all based on episodes of "The Sopranos."
