Clinton Back in New York to Continue Campaign

by Andrea Bernstein

NEW YORK, NY May 10, 2008 —Senator Hillary Clinton is back in New York to rally supporters in her continued quest for the Democratic nomination. WNYC's Andrea Bernstein reports.

REPORTER: With long odds against her, Clinton is pushing on, holding a mothers day event with daughter Chelsea at the Sheraton hotel in midtown before returning to West Virginia to campaign on Sunday and Monday.

The event is being accompanied by the release of a video showing Clinton and her daughter in a series of poignant photographs over the years as Chelsea Clinton testifies to her mother's skills, including leaving work to care for her when she was sick.

Hillary Clinton is at least eleven million dollars in debt and is about 180 delegates behind Obama of about 3500 allocated. Though she's overwhelmingly favored in West Virginia, Obama has been increasing his lead by picking up superdelegates daily.
