The city's Administration for Childrens Services says 11 babies have died of suffocation this year. Commissioner John Mattingly says all of those deaths could have been prevented.
MATTINGLY: Sharing a bed with a baby unnecessarily endangers the lives of babies and young children.
REPORTER: Mattingly says the risk is increased when parents are drunk, high or if they're heavy sleepers.
