Staten Island Congressman Has Child Out of Wedlock
by Amy Eddings
NEW YORK, NY May 08, 2008 —Following his apology for driving drunk, Congressman Vito Fossella admitted earlier today that he had a child with a woman who is not his wife, Laura Fay, who bailed him out of jail. Fossella, who is married with 3 children, represents the 13th congressional district. It includes all of Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Fossella is the only Republican in the New York City delegation. He is also up for re-election this November. Ken Bazinet, White House Correspondent for the Daily News, talks with WNYC’s Amy Eddings about Fossella’s political future.
