Corzine Faces Tough Budget Fight

NEW YORK, NY April 11, 2008 —New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine held firm to his budget plan yesterday in a speech to the state's mayors.
Members the New Jersey Conference of Mayors oppose Corzine's plan to cut aid to local governments by 10.5 percent. But, the governor says he won't waver in trying to fix the state's finances.
Lawmaker have until the end of June to reach a budget deal and Corzine joins us this morning to talk about his plans.
