Funding Marked for NY's Parks

by WNYC Newsroom

NEW YORK, NY April 07, 2008 —Gov. David Paterson says the state's budget will include $95 million in funding for improvements at state parks across New York.

It's the largest-ever commitment of resources for parks capital projects in state history.

The $95 million investment will fund a variety of capital projects at state parks in every region.

The initiative will also contribute to improvements at Department of Environmental Conservation campgrounds and at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.
