Catholic Teachers Continue Strike
by WNYC Newsroom
NEW YORK, NY April 07, 2008 —Teachers from the city's Catholic schools will continue their labor walkout against the Catholic Archdiocese of New York today.
Teachers from eight schools are expected to walk the picket lines this morning. They're affiliated with the Federation of Catholic Teachers and teach at schools in Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island and Westchester County.
The union has alleged unfair labor practices and accuses the archdiocese of not providing union negotiators with information it needs about health insurance.
