Bloomberg Introduces, but Doesn't Endorse, Obama

by Amy Eddings

NEW YORK, NY March 27, 2008 —Sen. Barack Obama was introduced by Mayor Michael Bloomberg at Cooper Union. The mayor did not endorse Obama. He says his support will go to the presidential candidate with specific, brave ideas.

BLOOMBERG: There will be no quick fixes to any of the problems. No easy answers. But that doesn't mean that solutions don't exist. They do exist, but they're not easy or quick. They are complex, controversial, and costly and they require courage to courage to address.

REPORTER: Obama's fellow Democrat, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, plans to give a speech on the economy tomorrow in Raleigh, North Carolina.
