GOP Insider May Have Had Role in Spitzer Inquiry

by Andrea Bernstein

NEW YORK, NY March 25, 2008 —The name of an influential, behind-the-scenes Republican strategist has surfaced in connection with former Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s scandal.

The letter says Stone learned the information from "a social contact in an adult-themed club." WNYC’s Andrea Bernstein has more on the man whose influence looms large in local and national politics.
