No Tips Yet in Case of Abandoned Infant
by Bob Hennelly
NEW YORK, NY February 29, 2008 —There are no leads yet on the case of a six-month-old baby girl abandoned in Queens yesterday, according to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly:
KELLY: We've only had one call to our tips hot line. The baby if you recall was left in a livery cab at 83rd Street and Northern Blvd. in Queens. --Beautiful baby. The baby is in very good health.
REPORTER: : Kelly calls the poor response to the tips hotline "troubling and surprising," and he's asking the public for help. A man abandoned the baby in a livery cab yesterday, after leaving the car, claiming he had to make a phone call. Anyone with information is urged to call 800-577-TIPS.
