by Jenna Flanagan
NEW YORK, NY February 25, 2008 —A day after Ralph Nader announced he's running for president, potential independent candidate Mayor Michael Bloomberg is declaring there's no such thing as a spoiler.
REPORTER: He says everyone has a right to run.
BLOOMBERG: There's 330 million people in this country and anybody that's over 35, I think you have to be has a right to run for president and if they have a dream, why shouldn't they.
REPORTER: Bloomberg notes that time is running out for third-party contenders to get into the race. He denies that he's exploring his own presidential bid. But aids have been working behind the scenes to lay the groundwork for a possible independent campaign.
