Age Plays Important Role

February 05, 2008 — The age gap showed up in exit poll results for Democrats in New York and New Jersey. In New York, 3 in 5 voters over 60 chose Clinton, while 3 in 5 voters under 30 chose Barack Obama. In New Jersey exit polls, Obama got about 60% of voters ages 18-29, while Clinton captured about 60% of those 65 and older. McCain ran stronger than Romney among all age groups.
