Sen. Clinton Opens Campaign Offices Throughout New York State
by Fred Mogul
NEW YORK, NY January 29, 2008 —With one week to go before New York, New Jersey, and twenty other states vote in the Super Duper Tuesday primaries, candidate Hillary Clinton has been opening get-out-the-vote offices throughout the state.
Fliers to be handed out are bundled by language and local towns. They’re destined for Mamaroneck, Scarsdale, Yonkers, New Rochelle and elsewhere. Local organizer Allison Green says Westchester volunteers have been making calls for weeks on the senators behalf, with all the efforts coordinated until now by the office in New York City.
Green and others decided there was enough support to open up a Westchester office, and enough competition NOT to take local voters for granted.
Volunteers said their calls were being met with a fair amount of enthusiasm, but many of those they reached also say they are still on the fence.
I'm Fred Mogul.
