NEW YORK, NY January 03, 2008 —REPORTER: Letterman's company, Worldwide Pants, struck a deal with the Writer's Guild which enabled the writers to come back to work.

For the show's ritual Top 10 list, Letterman enlisted writers still on strike to give their demands.

LETTERMAN: Number 2, from Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Chris Albers, "I don't have a joke, I just want to remind everyone that we're on strike. So none of us are responsible for this lame list."

REPORTER: In the midst of campaigning in Iowa, Senator Hillary Clinton was also on hand to kickoff the show.
