by Allison Lichter
NEW YORK, NY November 19, 2007 —The stagahands union, Local One, is still on strike after negotiators failed to reach an agreement in the 9 day old labor dispute. Broadway businesses continue to feel the affects of the strike.
REPORTER: Craig Coresee is the manager at Theater Circle, a gift shop on West 44th Street. He says things haven't been normal since the strike began.
CORESEE: The streets should be like a party outthere. Everyone looking for a show to see and huhbub, and there's no hub-bub.
REPORTER: Corsee's shop is located next door to the St. James Theater, which was scheduled to open the musical "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Despite rumors to the contrary, The Grinch will not open. 27 shows are shut down on Broadway due to the strike.
