What's Fresh at the Greenmarket?
by Anni Katz
NEW YORK, NY July 16, 2007 —Now, we're going to check in on the local harvest. Recent high temperatures here have some local produce out a little earlier than usual. That means the city's Greenmarkets are now in full bloom, but it also means that due to some earlier-than-normal appearances, some fruits and vegetables may not last as long as usual.
We sent WNYC's Anni Katz to the Union Square Greenmarket to sample the plums, raspberries, cherries, squash and beans. Good morning, Anni. WNYC's Anni Katz at the Union Square greenmarket which runs on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
