Two Tales of Teens’ Clash with NYPD in Bushwick

NEW YORK, NY May 31, 2007 —Last week 32 young people from Bushwick, Brooklyn were arrested on their way to a wake for an 18 year-old friend who police say was in a gang, and shot by a rival gang member. The teens, and the NYPD, are painting two very different pictures about what happened that day. WNYC’s Bob Hennelly speaks with WNYC’s “All Things Considered” host Amy Eddings.
