Pied Piper Hired Following Scampering Rat Video
by Amy Eddings
March 09, 2007 —That widely broadcast video of rats scampering around a KFC-Taco Bell restaurant in Greenwich Village was a public relations nightmare for the fast food joint’s owners. Hoping to turn the tide, Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut, pre-emptively shut down ten other New York City restaurants owned by ADF, and it's asked a leading rat expert to review company standards.
That rat expert is Doctor Bobby Corrigan, who talked about exterminating rats with WNYC’s All Things Considered host Amy Eddings. He even brought a stuffed rat to the studio.
