Feds Block Sale of Nation’s Largest Subsidized Housing Complex

March 02, 2007 —Tenants and elected officials celebrated today, after federal housing officials temporarily suspended the sale of the largest subsidized housing complex in the nation.
More than 12,000 residents live at Starrett City, a sprawling property near Jamaica Bay. But the process is far from over and a potential sale is still looming.
WNYC's Cindy Rodriguez has been following the story closely and talks to WNYC’s All Things Considered host Amy Eddings.
