Kean and Menendez Still Making Case to Voters
by Bob Hennelly
NEW YORK, NY November 06, 2006 —With less than 24 hours to go in New Jersey's bitter battle for the US Senate both Democrat Bob Menendez and Republican Tom Kean Junior are still trying to make their case to voters.
REPORTER: The day started for both men in vote rich Bergen County. Senator Menendez was the headliner at a senior breakfast in Lyndhurst where he spontaneously serenaded hundreds of supporters and some voters who had yet to make up their mind.
MENENDEZ: Remember that ILGWU song 'Look for the union label, whenever you are buying a shirt, pants or blouse.'"
REPORTER: At the Ridgewood train station Tom Kean Jr ran into campaign volunteer Caesar Segarra, who had just arrived from Puetro Rico, dispatched by the Young Republicans to help with tomorrow's GOP's get out the vote drive.
KEAN: We are from the young Republican Committee in Puerto Rico and we are all around the nation to helping our candidates get to Congress. We are from 6AM to 8PM getting out the vote."
