Thousands Rally in Support of Israel at UN

NEW YORK, NY July 18, 2006 —As the violence continues in Israel and Lebanon, thousands of supporters rallied outside the United Nations yesterday in support of Israel.
REPORTER: Rabbi Jeffrey Specter of Temple Beth Shalom in New Jersey says it's important for Jews from around the world to show a united front.
SPECTER: We're also hoping to send a message to our leaders, politicians here in America who've been very supportive and also those in other countries so that we stand firmly behind Israel.
REPORTER: A group of Arab-Americans is planning its own rally outside the U.N. later today.
